One thursday

Tonite is a Christmas party!!! I'm excited. It's the foreign language christmas party. I was up til 1:30am making Cabbage rolls for the party. I was going to make cookies but then decided I didn't want anything sweet because most everything is always sweet. I want something savory...so I made it. I can't wait.

Finally!

So I finally feel better.
I finally get to have lunch with Rachael.
I finally changed my facebook picture.
I finally updated my myspace.
I finally got to see and talk to Matt.

This all makes for a much better day than I had weekend.

Sick

So I woke up this morning throwing up when all I had wanted to do was to have a relaxing day after 2 days of travel and a day for work. Funny how things work out sometime. I'm drinking something for the first time today. I've only eaten 2 pieces of toast today. (that may change to 4) I've been told there's a stomach flu going around San Angelo... I wouldn't be surprised. My temperature is 100.4 F :-(

I wanted to look for a gift today. I wanted to have lunch with Rachael. :-( We'll just say that I didn't get to do anything I wanted to today. That makes me sad...but I hope I feel better tomorrow. I don't like being sick.

The Day Before

Well, it's the day before Thanksgiving. I'm excited about being able to go home. I haven't been home since...I don't remember when, but it's been a long time. I know Shannon's excited as well. I get to see my brother! I think I'm even more excited this year because for the past two years I haven't been able to get home for Thanksgiving. The first time I was in Germany and the second I had to work and didn't have a way home so I spent it with Rachael and her family. It'll be nice to be home for a change where Thanksgiving is as I remember it.

New Location

So I'm trying my blog in a new spot...sorta. Since google bought blogger and they since have a new beta site http://beta.blogger.com I decided to make a new one here. Eventually I'll be able to merge but until then...I like this beta version a whole lot better. I can personalize and make it mine...much more user friendly.

I guess I might as well make this real. Right now I'm in the MCS lab being bored and working at the same time. What I'm looking forward to is the Holiday concert tonite. Yes, I know, we're all thinking..."Why is the Holiday Concert before Thanksgiving?" It is a question, I'm sorry to say, that I have no answer to. I cannot say that I am sad, although I do think it a bit odd. The holiday season is my favorite. I enjoy the smells, the people, the sights, the sounds, the tastes, and the memories. I remember the first time I saw many of the Classic Christmas cartoons like: jack frost, christmas without a santa claus, frosty the snowman, rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, santa claus is coming to town. I love those cartoons. I first saw Jack Frost when I was in Arizona with my family for Christmas. My aunt rented it from the store and we all sat down in Grandma's living room to watch it. I don't remember exactly how old I was...but I do remember my aunt Cari saying that it was one of her favorites.

So many memories.
